Top 100 Women Owned Businesses
At the SF Business Times Awards Luncheon today I noted down a few tips, quotes, and words of advice from a few of the women who were accepting their awards. I though I’d share them with you for a bit of inspiration, or just to make you smile. I didn’t get them all but there are a few:
- I like to be in the driver’s seat so I don’t get car sick (on owning rather than working for others)
- Hire people who are smarter than you (we all know this one)
- Build Strong Relationships
- Let’s all network so we all succeed
- Exceed your own expectations, then exceed your client’s
- We’re successful because we work our butts off
- Put people ahead of profits
- Have Passion: love what you do and surround yourself with others that do the same
- Dediaction and passion are contagious
- Work hard, play hard and be honorable
- Always listen to your gut, it usually hurts for a reason
- Keep your values in place
- Be aware of the triple-bottom line (people, profits, environment)
- Keep making decisions

- Women owned business run on PMS = positive mental strength
- Point out where you want to go and empower your team to get you there
- You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take
