Pow.wow for 2008

Posted by dava on January 17th, 2008 0 comments

We have a few new changes happening in 2008, are you ready? Since we’ve realized that all of you love structure, we’ll be focusing our event efforts in 3 areas. 1) Straight up: networking; 2) Peer critiques: advice, help, and focused feedback for all your new ideas and ventures; 3) Panel Discussions: focused topics with 2-4 varied voices. From time to time, we will add in other events based on current ideas, needs or just for fun.

We are also updating our members section. That means all the ladies that have not done their interviews need to get with it so their member pages can be filled out.

Pow.wow is still looking for 2 members to become part of the event committee. These positions require time and commitment but are also compensated with membership dues. If you’re interested, please contact us.

Pow.wow Holiday Party 0 comments

Happy New Years Ladies!Just a quick thank you to all of the wonderful people who helped make our 2007 Holiday Party a success. Between our in-kind sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, we raised approx. $4000 for the San Francisco Oasis for Girls Organization. I can’t wait to see what happens next year.

Pow.wow Directors 0 comments

For 4+ years now, I, Dava Guthmiller, have done my best to host, plan, and coordinate all pow.wow events. But as all of you grow your businesses and expand your needs for support and networking, I have outgrown what I can do alone. So, I am actively seeking Directors for the following positions.
- New Member Development
- Event Planning
- Press/Media Outreach
- Sponsorship and Partners
- Member Interviews and New Writer

Please contact me if you’d like to be considered for one of these positions. These are all part-time, volunteer jobs. Directors will have their own pow.wow email, web-page, and access to all events.

Pow.wow Holiday Event 0 comments

This year we’re hoping for our best holiday event ever. So for 2007, we’ll be hosting a benefit for Oasis for Girls. Once again we will have vendor tables and this year, a silent auction. If any of you would like to participate, please contact Dava asap.
